It works.
Extended release is easier to manipulate than the stock release.

Best thing since sliced bread.

Took some trimming
I bought this to go on my Ruger AR-556, which has a threaded D-Ring. I had to sand and trim (chamfer) the rear corner edges of the top and bottom halves of the hand guard, in order to clear the front edge of the D-Ring. Once that was done, I was able to fit the two halves into place, tighten down the D-Ring, and it was good to go. I installed my previously purchased MAKO FAB FOREGRIP GRIP ROTATING BIPOD PICATINNY TPOD G2 T-PODG2-PR OD-GREEN, and a tactical flashlight mount and light to a side rail. Looks and performs awesomely!
