This Card Works As Expected
I wanted to build a DVR from a used computer that I bought at a salvage sale, which required a TV tuner card. This one was among the ones I found on eBay. I did a little online research into this particular model, compared it to the others I saw, compared the prices, and decided to go with this one. Physical installation of the card was totally straightforward. Since I had internet access when I started to install the WinTV software, it was able to tell me that there was a newer version available, which I opted to install. So far, I've had absolutely zero issues with the card itself. There are a couple minor drawbacks with the WinTV software, but they're more nuisances than deal breakers. Firstly, there doesn't seem to be a way to resize the menus within WinTV, so trying to use them on a TV across the room isn't as easy as it could be. Secondly, there doesn't seem to be a way to start one recording at the same minute that a previous one ends, so one has to choose whether to miss the last minute of one broadcast or the first minute of the other. Those issues are quite minor, and there may be others that I just haven't encountered yet, but that's what I have at the time of this review.
