useful in a small greenhouse
does the job and good for the price, but I don't expect it will have a long life.
Fast delivery, and easy assembly.

Sad depressing book - no enlightenment or anything to cheer the human soul
I was obliged to buy this book as it is a set work for my student from France for her Baccalaureate English paper.
I am no fan of Margaret Lessing. I think that this book is incredibly depressing, with a potentially tragic ending which the reader must devise from evidence given. The prose is painfully contrived with expressions and sentiments are excessive and pedantic. The characters likewise- all as we now say: 'over the top' - and certainly not very real to me.
I sympathise with my poor student with this choice of set work. I can only assume that the BAC examiners like a socialist writer and thus chose this book.
The amount I paid is perhaps the maximum for one use - I shall not want to re-read this book.
It is certainly not great literature, and the examiners could have chosen from a wide range of English language 'greats', but sadly did not.
