Good starting point for anyone wanting to paint themselves.
If you have not had any formal training on how to spray paint this is a good starting point, it covers the basic techniques and some of the more advanced ones. The information provided by paint manufacturers is useful but often very limited, its a bit like trying to make a recipe with a list of ingriedients but no directions. The authors book on welding is also worth having, if you don't just learn by trial and error.

Cheap but functional magnetic level
This product required some manipulation on arrival, as it was not accurate compared to a couple of quality levels I have. After taking apart and putting back together it was fine, so it may be worth spending a little more depending on practical ability. Bought for use on some welding projects which it should be fine for, thought best not to get too hot as its mostly plastic.
