Criminally underrated album
Absolutely delighted with my purchase of this on vinyl. The genius of the samples from Death Race 2000 and Videodrome make this classic absolutely timeless. I've had the CD since release and the vinyl is so much better. Deeper resonance of bass, makes me wish I was DJing again. 'Move yourself back into consciousness'

Possibly the greatest British debut album ever.
I received the record on the day of the 40th anniversary of its release. The record sounds better than the CD. Martin Hannets production is haunting, as are Ians lyrics. It's hard to imagine how young these 3 guys from Manchester and one from Salford felt.
Clearly the masterpiece has aged well still sounding fresh now. The band were unwittingly trailblazers and have influenced far and wide, but certainly other great Manchester icons like The Smiths, Stone Roses and Oasis. Is this better than all of them? It certainly will always be a favourite of mine.

Culinaria goes Organic
I'm a great fan of the Culinaria series and this is one of the best. Rather than being nationality specific, this tackles Organic and Wholefoods. It a huge book and I've barely started it but that's often the case with Culinaria books. They're great coffee table books, and I heartily recommend them.
