RDGTOOLS 5/16" x 26 tpi taps BSCY / CYCLE THREAD

Cycle thread Taps , essential for Classic motorcycle restoration

I had removed the lower horseshoe clamp bolts that hold on the front wheel on a classic Triumph i am restoring. On inspecting the bolts i noticed two had flattened/distorted threads. So immediately ordered these Taps to "reform" any damage to the threads in the fork lowers. The taps went in cleanly with a little resistance, showing there was damage inside, but after finishing with the plug tap, new bolts wound in fully and held at correct torque with no "stretching" of the threads. Saved me welding, re drilling and re-tapping so excellent job!, even if i had to redo i now have the Taps!

USB 2/3 to Sata drive cable - used to clone HDD to SSD simple

I was replacing a failing HDD in my older laptop with an SSD that came with a version of Acronis clone to allow smooth transfer , but no lead. I purchased this lead from the UK even though i live in Spain and it arrived quickly. It is the better lead for this type of transfer as power is provided from the 2 USB plugs , according to a friend who works at maintaining computers in a corporate environment. I plugged in my new SSD and it was immediately recognised by windows 10, the cloning went smoothly, a simple drive swap, and now i am finishing this review on a working laptop PC !!! I have now also used this lead to reformat the failing drive and test it fully to see if it can be used as a backup drive. I would recommend this product

Avoid MOT fails and fit LED bulbs!!

Well daughter went to get her classic volkswagen beetle MOT'd (yes we have 3 of them) and the usual phone call that the brake lights weren't working but the garage could investigate and probably fix for £150!!!! i said no bring it home and after 5 minutes and a spare bulb we proved it to be just the two bulbs blown. Now this beetle is lowered and every bump in the road vibrates all so the bulbs go on a regular basis. So we sent for these LED bulbs. They arrived quickly and fitted in 5 minutes into the standard lamp sockets. Nice and bright and red in colour so even if you have a lens break you will still only be showing red light to the rear of the car "Officer". Now been running for some time and they are still good as new. I would recommend these rather than fitting a standard bulb, safer as more reliable.
