Transcends culture and age.
Simply loved this bittersweet story and it's prequel. I'm not a collector but I bought both of these to watch again and to share with my adult children.

Oh, to know then what I know now...
Although the action takes places in Europe w/ European students I could relate closely with these young people, their angst, their joy, their energy. It took me right back to my college days, the good, the reckless, and the painful. I just loved it and look forward to sharing it with my college age children. I first saw this film more than a year ago and it still comes to mind frequently. I think it's a gem.I would rank it up with Whit Stillman's Metropolitan and Barcelona.

Liberty Versus the Tyranny of Socialism
2 of 2 found this helpful Dr. Williams helps me understand American society, history, and economics. His wit and humor enliven even the driest of subjects. I am looking forward to reading more of his writings. I have enjoyed hearing himon radio and watching a PBS series he did in the late 70's? on race in America. He's a godsend.
