Incredibly sharp lens, weatherproof and robust, perfect for wildlife. Works very well with Olympus tele-converters with minimal image image degradation. Have made a stunningly sharp moon photo with this lens with 1.4x teleconverter attached - see image.

Perfect all-round lens for lightweight travel. Highly recommended.
Perfect lens for lightweight travel. While it's obviously not as good as pro-grade lenses, it is surprisingly sharp for such a compact lens with such a long zoom range and reasonable price. Highly recommended in combination with a compact Olympus/Panasonic body. I used only this lens on a trip to Japan last year and I was very pleased with the results.

Superb lens.
Superb lens in every way. Lovely perspective and creamy bokeh, and weatherproof. Perhaps the only drawback is that it's a bit large for a 17mm lens, but that's a reasonable price to pay for no-compromise optical performance.
