Beautiful Blu ray
1 of 1 found this helpful Beautiful location cinematography! Beautiful Blu ray presentation! Beautiful Debra Paget. Great characterizations from James Stewart and, especially, Jeff Chandler. A gem from the golden era of film. Bring on the popcorn and Bon Bons! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the cover, which I didn't think reflected the film in the best way. So I created my own using a foreign poster as its base.

Watch Out!
Every year the Mormon Tabernacle Choir et all puts out their annual Christmas presentation and each is a gem! The color, set design, choice of familiar mixed with the not-so-familiar musical selections, liturgical dancing and moving story-telling make this the place to go for true holiday spirit. " O Come Little Children" is the latest entry in the series and the highlight of this production is a reading of the Hans Christian Andersen tale, "The Little Match Girl", accompanied by an original musical score and the "Poor Little Match Girl" herself. But watch out, all you fellow Scrooges! The experience will take all of your will power to suppress your welling tears! And once you buy one of these DVDs, chances are that you will be looking for all the others to add to your collection. Glory to God in the Highest!!!

It's a shame
Westward Ho the Wagons is a so-so Disney effort from the late '50s but for those of us who grew up watching the Mickey Mouse Club every afternoon just before dinnertime, it holds a special place. Featuring some of the cast from MMC as well as Davy Crockett and Mike Fink actors Fess Parker and Jeff York and some great scenery, the film is a nostalgic trip to a simpler time. The shame is that the print looks marvelous in color and sharpness but, as I already knew, it is not in the original sweeping Cinemascope. I had held off purchasing it for years in hopes that it would eventually emerge with the proper ratio. But, alas, life is too short and if you want to see it you might as well get this as opposed to nothing at all.
