Well built retro pedal. Recommended as a good retro pedal, not recommended for touring in wet conditions.
0 of 1 found this helpful These pedals look good with their shiny polished finish and retro rat-trap design. they work with toe clips, but still grip very well thanks to the serrations.
The cup and cone bearings come out of the box well-adjusted, unlike most other pedals that come ridiculously overtightned. The only weakness in these pedals is the lack of sealing, which seems rather imprtant for a touring bike. For a retro pedal, however, that is excusable, since vintage bike parts don't generally come with good sealing.
Great choice (I'd say one of the best if retro-looking is important to you) all-around for your vintage/retro road bike.

Old and basic, but really, really good.
These are old and basic, but really good. Shifting is buttery smooth out of the box (the grease was still fine). This is much better than the current basic 7 speed shifters. Definitely recommend if you have brakes that need short pull levers.
P.S, part of the reason these are so smooth is because the shifting mechanism is made of mostly metal. I imagine the to be heavier but much more durable than modern basic shifters. Oh, the body is metal as well.
