Restricted to Black Diamond brand batteries
1 of 1 found this helpful Great torch excellent battery life but to function at its best and for certain features to work it needs Back Diamond rechargeable batteries only! It does work but only on a basic level with other brand rechargeable. I hate being restricted like this so I would not recommend this otherwise excellent torch.
This torches main 'claim to fame' is the fact that you can just plug it in to a usb cable (from your phone maybe) and charge it. but ONLY with Black Diamonds batteries. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known this. It didn't say this on "Out door gear lab" which normally does excellent and reviews.

Not really a GPS just a silly gadget
I bought this as a super simple basic GPS but cant figure out how to simply mark a point and return to it. I have used multiple GPS's often with many more functions and have had no trouble figuring them out especially if I study the manuals. This one was a complete waste of money for what I wanted it for, simply to mark a point and return to it.
