Well worth the cost
This is a sturdy, well-constructed piece of equipment (believe it or not, not made in China!) that will enhance the quality of your garden soil. It's easy to assemble and easy to operate. It reduces bulky soil into fine soil by doing an excellent job of screening out solids. It will not break up clods of soil; you'll have to do that before you begin screening. If your soil contains small clumps that are not too hard, though, the rotating bar should be able to break them apart. Because this product is not made in the USA, but comes from the UK, the shipping cost is steep. Given the high quality of the equipment and the superb job it does, however, the cost is worth it.
