One stop-shop gaming headphones!
Coming from a cheaper headset to something like this blows you away:
- there's proper quality in materials used, nothing's flimsy - this thing is solid.
- the earpad areas go up and down very smoothly and don't feel like they're ever going to break.
- the sound quality is fantastic (and also very customisable in volume and varying the level of mic sound and in-game sound with the MixAmp). For reference I have a pair of Sony MDR100-ABN over-ear headphones that are excellent, and these are not too far off them at all.
- these headphones are also PS3 compatible and are supposed to work with a PS5 too apparently (don't have one myself to try, dont quote me on this!).
- I haven't found these to be uncomfortable after prolonged use.
- not difficult to set-up, a bit of YouTubing at most.
They just look good too!
They're a premium price but you do get a premium product in return.
I also recommend the A40 TR ModKit (blue one makes it look best IMO), that upgrades the noise-cancelling plastic plating bits on the sides so they seal out more noise so that you don't hear any typical background noises, compared to the base headphones where you will likely hear people chatting in the background of the room unless you have the volume turned up high enough.
ModKit also gives a superior mic, can't comment as I haven't used either mics yet. Leather (faux leather maybe?) padding extras that assist with sealing out noise and comfort too but the stock ones are plenty good enough and didn't bother me.
Swapping these changes out is slick and you'll see the quality in this product.

Does a lot and does it well!
Upgrading from a 735xt...
I checked out a lot of pofessional reviews and YouTube videos before feelng comfortable making the change, and I haven't been let down!
Battery life on the 735xt was excellent and the 945 is the same. I haven't used the amazing in-built maps feature out and about yet, but it's there and functional so impressed there.
My main reason for upgrading was to access bluetooth music capabilities not present on the 735xt and the 945 doesn't disappoint here; plenty enough GB space, connects fast to the Jabra Elite Active 7s I use and it's not a massive hassle to download music from your phone Spotify to your Spotify on the watch (after downloading the Spotify app for the watch via Garmin Connect app).
Also there's the Garmin Pay ability that comes with this watch which is nifty. However, the range of compatible banks is limited so check that before you buy. I'm making a Revolut account to take advantage of this feature as my bank is not accepted.
Also double check your headphones will be compatible but that's a much less likely issue.
GPS and stats were very accurate for running in my experience on the 735xt and this 945 is again, more of the same, yet more features as well.
Only critique I have is the buttons are a little less tactile than the 735xt and not quite as good looking, not too much in it though. And there's a lot of dead space between the screen and outer edge comparatively (something that's fixed in the recently released and more expensive 945 LTE).
Please check lots of reviews, do your full research, to make sure this is the watch for you as it is a little pricey despite it's reliabilty and chock full of features. Overall very satisfying watch and will be lasting for years.
