UPVC Window Door Cable Restrictor Child Safety White Key Lockable

Good investment and simple to fit

I bought 2 for a friend who's ground floor flat was BAKING in the current heatwave. She couldn't open her windows as she was scared someone may break in. OK. 1st of all these are "child locks" not "security locks" and I'm not an expert in security, but I am simple DIYer trying to help a friend (and daughter) feel cooler and safer at night. These locks are a breeze to fit. Really long screws to anchor into the plastic (in my case) or wood window/frame. They wouldn't stop a determined person from getting in (or out) but I feel it would be a deterrent to a casual person. Weak spots will always be the window anchor (frame in my case was 90deg to window) and the cable connection between window and frame, but I tried tugging one from the outside (and I wasn't too gentle) and believe me it's not going to let go easily. If this kit did break you'd 100% hear it (and I'm not a 10stone pushover. Lol). So I now have a friend who's home is cooler (her bedroom windows can now be left open at night) allowing her to sleep, and feels a LOT safer. Win win!

I needed a cheap 5v supply for an ec project and this fitted the purpose perfectly. Connector was wrong (For me) but was simple to cut off. :)
