GRASS 1006-30 Clip-on Hinge - 110° Self Closing, Half Overlay

Check The Shape Carefully...
I purchased this hinge to replace a missing one on the Miele kitchen in our new house. Looking at the photos and comparing it to the remaining hinge on the door I thought that this was identical. It had the same identical numbers stamped in the same place as our remaining hinge. It was only when our kitchen fitter tried to replace the door, have fitted the new hinge, that we discovered a slight discrepancy... this hinge has a slight "bulge" on the frontplate (visible in the photos) - the existing hinge was flat. The result of this is to prevent accurate door settings as the bulge is not on both hinges. It may be pernickety but it did mean we had to look elsewhere for the identical hinge. I wasn't going to return it either as we're in the UK and by the time I'd paid return postage it just wouldn't have been worth it. Otherwise it's perfectly well made and of good quality. I'll put it down to experience and be extremely careful when comparing things in the future!

This really is a stunning die-cast scale model of the iconic English Electric Lightning. Rich in detail, elegant in design, awesome in profile... it brings me pleasure every time I look at it. Excellent value, perfect packaging and very prompt despatch - I only wish it was the real thing!
