The Birmingham Scrapstore is part of the BPCN (Birmingham PlayCare Network), a registered charity established in 1995. The charity provides a variety of far-reaching services, such as:
• Out-of-school breakfast and holiday playschemes. Which allows parents to return to work and access training
• Advocacy of Play to children to help with development, mental health, socialising, accessibility, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration and engagement.
• Addressing barriers to creativity for both children and adults.
• Support families living in crisis
• Advocate for the importance of play and leisure for all.
The scrapstore provides resources for the charities' work with schools and community artists and provides much-needed funding for the charity.
