Great film; a key part of my childhood
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought because I remembered the film in a flash of nostalgia and my flatmates didn't believe such a film existed, the film is as good to watch now as it was when I was eleven.
The acting is excellent throughout, and although it doesn't really try and be overtly PC (it wouldn't, being from the seventies), it manages to paint a charming story.
Peter Ustinoff does very well in his role, and Helen Hayes must have been typecast.
Overall, it's a great little film. Completely unique.

A film I've yet to find a rival of.
2 of 2 found this helpful I loved this film when I dug out a copy we'd taped of HTV West years ago. Since then we've lost our VCR and gained a DVD player, so I'm starting to replace all my VHSs.
This film is strange. It's increadibly well thought out, and impeccably well executed as a work. There really isn't anything that I think is wrong with it, at any point.
I'd recommend this film to anyone with a strange taste in film and who is a fan of the bizarre, it's got everything: suspense, humour, romanticism, 'special' effects, and all tied together with a tangential logic.
A great film, 'nuff said.

These earphones are really very good
Having bought a different version of these, the company I dealt with had run out and offered me some similar but very slightly different ones instead.
They are every bit as good as I thought they would be, and there are a few pros and cons about the earphones which I wish I'd known beforehand.
First and foremost, the sound quality of these earphones has always been very good. Koss operate on an unique warranty scheme which apparently never runs out. However, I've always forgotten this when it's time to replace the headphones and so have amassed a few pairs.
They fit very well in the ear, and the one thing I'd say about the spark plug headphones is that you can frequently feel the casing of the headphone against your ear, which is not very comfortable. The volume slider in line is a good idea, although I find that it sets itself at a low volume when I put the headphones on, just because my clothes are rubbing against the slider. I'd prefer to not have the slider at all, really, and just take the headphones out when someone is talking to me or just press pause on my phone. Still, everyone's tastes are different and it's good to have the option to be able to turn the volume down without having to fumble around for the actual player.
All in, these are definitely worth the money.
