Near Dark - Movie about a guy that almost gets caught up in the World of Darkness (ie life as a vampire)

This movie is by far one of the best vampire movies out there, only drawback is the lack of fangs, why I have only giving it 4 stars. Near Dark contains good acting thanks to an awesome cast of actors. The bar scene in this movie is above and beyond brilliant and to me beats all bar-scenes ever made thanks to the superior acting of the cast, especially Bill Paxton's acting in that scene is amazing. Kathryn Bigelow, Adrian Pasdar, Lance Henriksen, Jeanette Goldstein and Bill Paxton. A must see for all vampire-fans. (For those of you into Vampire the Masquerade this is a perfect picture of a nomadic Sabbat-pack.) Enjoy, Karsten R - TRoA (Denmark)

Starship Troopers - Trilogy - The Earth military fighting aliens in the form of giant insects in ground- and space-battles

The first movie is a class beyond most in effects and sci-fi elegance - The setting is unique and one wants to learn more about the world. The Second movie is low-budget and suffer on that part though the idea and plot is brilliant. The Third movie brings back Casper van Dien as Rico and though it fails to keep the pace of the first movie, it still expands the setting and provides good entertainment. Over-all good and worthy entertianment - And Movie 1 - deserves a 5 star rating on it's own and is a must see for all Sci-fi fans. Karsten R - TRoA (Denmark)
