The third volume of Cromwell and King Henry.
This third volume of Hilary Mantel's trilogy is just as compelling as the others, though at 880 pages and 4 lb in weight it is impossibly heavy to read in bed. I only wish she'd written it as two thinner books. However, it is written in such a way that you feel you are actually there with Cromwell and the other characters.

Afghan girl brought up as a boy.
A very moving story of an Afghan girl brought up as a boy because of their patriachal customs and all the heartbreak it creates.

Linda Holeman books are addicitve.
I am only halfway through the book but am already hooked by the story, the characters and the feeling of being in India. It is a compelling story as all Linda Holeman's books are. I recommend them all. After this one I shall start reading The Saffron Gate.
