A lasting tribute.
A very interesting book by Dennis Judd of a popular & dutiful Monarch.
King George the V was married to Princess May of Teck who used to be courting the Duke of Clarence before he tragically died of syphilis.
King George the V came to the throne in 1910 having over a 26 year reign he built the Monarchy up by restoring many of it's good values, that was needed after the pain & sorrow of the First World War.
His duty was noted as the unknown soldier was brought back to England from the battlefield where it now lies in Westminster Abbey as a living memorial to those who fell during that terrible conflict in 1914-1918.

An interesting & lighthearted look @ our soon to be crowned Queen.
An interesting topic when you consider their Coronation is coming up, so it's an interesting book to read all things considered.
