John McGlinn brings back the old orchestral sound of yesteryear.
I bought this CD because I like John McGlinn as a conductor as he uses the original orchestrations of shows related to Gershwin, Porter, Kern and Rogers not to mention many other composers of the 30's, 40's and 50's music.
This CD covers "songs from the shows" of Rogers & Hart bringing back memories of shows from yesteryear.
There are a number of his EMI recordings and you will not be disappointed in any of them.

A most enjoyable "spoof" vampire film.
I have always liked Black Comedies and having a liking for "tongue in cheek" horror films this is one of my favourites, but will always remember it as "The Dance of the Vampires". This "spoof" of a Hammer vampire film is most enjoyable to watch as the cast gives it something special with the comedic and well timed acting of Jack MacGowran, Alfie Bass and Ferdy Mayne with Roman Polanski trying to be innocent and helpful to his mentor.

An enjoyable listen suitable for all.
An enjoyable recording of Bernard Cribbins reading from the 1001 Stories of Arabian Nights, stories which brought back memories of my childhood based on the stories of Scheherazade. Also is the music Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov, performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra under Enrique Batiz:
