Does the job.
Does the job as one would expect. I was asked yesterday if it was a black monkey printed on the coin. It's not, it's a (not so pretty) black cat, but it wasn't bought to look at just to put in a trolley as my previous one was thinner and lighter and flew out one day when I'd finished shopping never to be seen again so this one works much better being a much more similar weight and thickness to an actual pound.

Certainly shows up stains
I bought the UV light to try and identify where the cat had sprayed in the house. I couldn't locate the area but it certainly showed up a multitude of invisible stains along the way that were hidden to the naked eye.

No good as a cake side scraper.
I bought this as it was described as a cake side scraper. Yes it was good quality but no it is not made specifically for smoothing buttercream etc on cakes. The sides of the blade needs to be at a right angle so that it can sit nicely on your rotating cake stand and you can rotate your cake to get an even result. This however is not a normal right angled shaped blade so you can't achieve the perfect result you would expect. At a guess I'd say this tool is probably meant for cutting dough whilst bread making. I would not recommend this as a cake side scraper.
