Narnia improved my spiritual outlook on life, along with other important authors in my life.
Narnia is one of the three literature sources that have affected my spiritual belief system. I was reminded of this when I discovered that I had been unknowingly interviewed for, and quoted in, the book, "Thirteen and a Day". I am one of the Gentiles interviewed in this book about Jewish Bat and Bar Mitzvahs. The quote included how the seventh book really focused my belief that what is important is what is in your heart, not the name that you worship.
Other books that have influenced my spirituality include Robert Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land and Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality Series.
To see what I said about these three authors and nine other pages of material that Oppenheimer related about me in his book, search google books for "Thirteen and a Day Heinlein Anthony Lewis"

A great learning resource.
I'm enjoying this book. I got it so that I had extra problems to solve while studying Calculus at the free Online CourseWare program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ----- ocw.mit.edu ----- In fact, some of Professor Gilbert Strang's lectures are available at the ocw.mit.edu site. I highly recommend this book, which in spite of it being an older edition, still has lots to teach an independent student.
