A few new bells and whisles, but same over all feel
I have played it through twice with 2 created golfers, so it isn't all that bad. Everything plays quite smooth and is fun to play all the way through. This time you have to max out your golfer on a scale of 12 that takes some time to improve the golfer. In 2009, you have to do your challenges at the end of a round, or on some of the longer Tiger Challenges. They also created a cool real time golf round with up to 4 players all hitting their balls at once. This is nice if you have friends that play it online too. What I dislike: it probably is just me, but I find it very hard to hit the wedges. I mean I can never find the right percent and hit it over or short just about every shot under 100 yards. This is the same from the past 3 years too. When you have to hit your lobe wedge 40 percent it is almost impossible. The lag is what really gets to me. Sometimes you have to wait for the crowd 8 to 10 seconds to react when you sink a putt. They should have tightened up the reaction time to speed up play. Overall, it is the best golf game out there. It's still challenging and fun to create your own golfer, or play online against other people in real time.

A few new notes about the new Halo 3
Overall, the time and effort spent on this greatly exceeded any expectation. The graphics and story in the campaign mode flowed awesomely through the whole game. Although, the game seems to play a little more short with the normal campaign mode having a play through of about 15 hours. The replay and online stuff is why most people buy it anyway. I just got my Xbox 360 three weeks before Halo 3 came out, so I'm just purchasing all of the pieces to get online (headset, Xbox 360 live card, and another Ethernet cable). There are three things that I want to point out that you should know compared to the two previous games on the original Xbox. First the controls are changed due to the controller. Meaning you always have to hit the closer shoulder buttons to reload both your guns. You will die countless times hitting the x button, or throwing a grenade, when you try the old way or hit the left trigger button. Secondly, early on you see that all of the guns have a reduced ammunition capacity. You have a more rapid rate of fire that drains your bullets or power sources much faster. This means you will be backtracking more to get more weapons. This isn't a problem until you play on a harder mode and have to make countless shots the brute's new amour to bring them down. Luckily, normally you have a good selection of weaponry from all of the foes you kill. Finally, first screens have changed to more of a group/online format. Also, there seems to be more load times than previous games. Even with the few flaws and announces, this is the best overall game I have ever seen.

Awsome game, but beware of glitches!
Playing the game was 95% a great game. When you see a preview on TV, and then get to experience the detail that was put into this game was breathtaking! I love playing these kind of games that have a well put-together storyline with lots of action and detailed illustration. To me it was exactly what the God of War series was almost to the letter. You have to gain experience points(souls) that you upgrade, you swim under water, the mechanics of the attack combos feel the same, and there are a crap load of puzzles. One main difference, was a side weapon called the Crossblade. It acted like a boomerang that transfers energy and fire. The first time you have to use it your are told that it can transfer energy, but it doesn't show you! You spend like 30 minutes looking for the next move-on point, but you don't realize that it right in front of you face! When you play the game, you have to transfer flames to open gas pipes, or hit 2 swords that chime to open doors. It took me 21 hours to finish it, and a lot of other people say it is a good 16 hour game. This is due to all of the puzzles that take some time to figure out, and you end up back tracking towards the end of the game through the entire map. The worst part of the whole game for me was the freezing, and other times where it loops the music or a phrase then freezes in about 30 seconds! I would have to say I had to turn my console off and on about 50 times! After rebooting your system, you can go to about where you stopped where it auto saved last. However, you learn the hard way when it's 1 am, and you load the last save point instead of the auto load. This will take you back to the last time you saved the game when you go into the "data menu". It took me an hour to just get back to were it was when it crashed. After that, I saved all of the time to not have to replay what I just did. Here are some of the solutions I came across for the freezing: I ended up using 6.4 gigs to save it to my hard drive, that many people recommended. Someone else recommends putting the disk in boiling water for 15 seconds then drying it of to remove the film from the disc's production. I didn't want to do that, but I almost did. I would recommend that you just "clear system cache" on your hard drive before starting this game. That is where you go into the memory option in your Systems Settings, then hit the Y button when highlighting your hard drive to "clear system cache". So far, this has been the best option before I started the 2nd time around. They say that Vigil will eventually put out a patch for the game, but that will take time..... I have heard that ONLY some people have these freezing issues. The problems are NOT critical, meaning after a restart the same glitch won't happen again. Some people play the whole game with only a couple freezes. My game was factory sealed, and had these glitches. I would still highly recommend this game, even for some minor problems.
