Powerful quiet impact driver!
1 of 1 found this helpful I wish I'd bought one of these years ago! The impacts are so quiet that you mostly hear the motor noise instead of the hammering. The impacts have "give" to them, which means much greater control and precision than non-hydraulic drivers. In framing lumber, it will drive a 3" screw just a split second slower than Makita's or Milwaukee's newest non-hydraulic impact drivers. This driver will also drive larger lags and screws faster than the Milwaukee Surge, which was a surprise because the Surge has a higher torque rating. This fun to test! I'll be using this now instead of Makita's new XTD16 for all fastening of 4"or less fasteners because there's hardly any difference in speed. It also weighs a hair less than the XTD16, and is a whole pound lighter than the Milwaukee Surge (which is why my father is getting one of these - he owns the Surge).
