Quality Item at a reasonable price
1 of 1 found this helpful I have owned a Braun Series 5 shaver for many years. It is especially suitable for slimmer and angular faces such as mine and the trimmer on the reverse side I find very useful for trimming back sideburns, going around over the ears and around the nape of the neck so it's more than just useful for everyday facial shaving. We are all different in terms of beard strength and the time period (1 day or several days) between facial shaving. I use it daily and change the foil & cutter about once a year, sometimes much longer, certainly longer than recommended & with no adverse effects. The foil IS relatively fragile so if it gets damaged, it can cut the skin but I clean it daily and always put the shaver back in its case so damage rarely occurs. Today, foil & cutter prices are considerably more price competitive than in the past. Well recommended.

Robust & Quality Unit at a Reasonable Price
1 of 1 found this helpful A robust & quality extension lead at a very reasonable price. It replaced a lead that was at least 10 yrs old that had done a good job for lawn mowing & power tools etc but recently the socket broke and replacements were of a poor quality for outside use. I spotted this one which gave me a superior & complete unit & more robust than the last so I'm delighted. Highly recommended.

Robustly made but pedal rotation friction control poor
4 of 4 found this helpful The main reason why I bought this machine, on recommendation from a physiotherapist, is to exercise a knee following surgery. The ability to adjust the resistance of the pedals to rotate so to make the muscles work harder, is critically necessary for the recovery process. Even with the adjuster turned in as tight as it's possible to do, the friction is poor so resistance to rotate the pedals is low, defeating the reason for buying it. It is generally well made & robust but the inability to increase the resistance to a meaningful level renders it almost unfit for purpose. I note there are a lot of the market, some at prices considerably more than I paid but all are exactly the same model & probably equally useless.
