Addictive, engaging, death
I love this series. I first saw it on HBO when it first aired. I liked it so much I had to get it on DVD.
The characters are great and entertaining. The storyline is fanominal. I love the way they ended the series, not gonna spoil it for you, but following the characters for 5 seasons, it's just genius.

Slow, boring, great if you speak spanish
Maybe I'm jaded, but the original is much better, more entertaining and has superstars that know how to act.
I was disappointed in the remake. Half the movie is in Spanish with tiny little subtitles in English, that don't stay on the screen long enough to actually finish reading. I watched it twice and still didn't get all the dialogue.
To me it was just a big disappointment.
