The Reclaim and Salvage Company is a 3rd Generation, family owned business trading in all types of reclamation, salvage,up-cycling,re-purposed antique & vintage products or materials,based in Henstead NR34 7LB , the Far East of Suffolk. We operate from an acre of old Suffolk Barns in the countryside between Lowestoft, Beccles and Southwold, visitors are welcome and we have regular opening hours which are Wed 10-4pm and Sat 10-2pm. We source , refurbish , stock and supply all our goods directly with all skills in-house. If we can't purely recycle an item and give it new purpose we can re-make it into something else completely to do so.     The dimensions of the door that the seller provided me turned out to be wrong, so what I thought was the ideal door turned out to need considerable trimming. I contacted the seller but received no apology and, instead, a brusque 'just return it then', which would leave me out of pocket for delivery and return (about £90-100 in total). Communication was poor and I won't be buying from them again.

    As always 2 sides to every story,the buyer did contact us to question size details,unfortunately at the time of call we were working on site & did not have access to the communications record to confirm any issue. Unfortunately buyer wanted immediate action,so we proposed a return of the item under compliance with UK distance selling regs.This was clearly not acceptable.To clarify trimming 5mm or 10mm off a door takes no extra 'work',the door was sold needing trimming.Our usual feedback is good.
