String guide

Ideal for a Squier but if vintage look is important pay the money for a proper pattern part. It's a perfectly functional string guide. The screw is quite anorexic but a few minutes is all it takes to plug the old screw hole with a bamboo skewer and redrill it. there are still the best part of 5,000 characters available for this review but, apart from mentioning that it's always handy to keep a few bamboo skewers in case you need to torture a captured enemy agent, this review is doomed to run out of steam.

Useful stick bag

This drumstick bag will hold several pairs of sticks etc and has useful laces for hanging on a kit. Three compartments keep different sticks apart. A drum key can be kept in the front pocket. It is made of strong nylon and looks as though it will last.

Studio layout improved

A number of outboard power supplies use figure 8 connectors. Rather than the usual short mains leads plugged into a distribution strip, these 5m leads can be terminated with IEC plugs and are long enough to be neatly routed to a power conditioner. Put heatshrink on before attaching the plug and each one can be labelled, important if a switching sequence must be observed
