Monocular or Binoculars?
1 of 1 found this helpful It’s very small and light but very sturdily made with superb optics. The only downside is that its not waterproof - like for instance the Leica Monovid. This means if you carry it on a hike in an inner pocket where you are sweating a lot it could potentially get water vapour inside. Other than that however its so small and light that you will hardly be aware of it. you might think 5x won’t be enough to make carrying it worthwhile - but it does make a difference - and if it were any more powerful the loss of light gathering and the inability to hold it rock solid would negate the increased magnification. Don’t think though that it can replace a good pair of binoculars - seeing with both eyes is always going to be superior - its something you carry “in case” - when you aren’t going specifically to bird watch for instance
