just the jobson
2 of 2 found this helpful good compilation, if you liked Big Country, or enjoyed the slightly
poppier side of the punk movement of the late 70's / early 80's.
all the key singles are included here, from the rough and ready
earlier material, including the recently re-emerging The Saints
Are Coming [ thru U2 / Green Day ], up to the end of their time,
when Adamson's celtic leanings could clearly be heard coming more
to the fore, on songs like Iona. normally available at a reasonable
price, you could do a lot worse than add this to your collection,
if you don't already have all The Skids albums. the work of the Skids
is of course all the more poignant now, as Stuart Adamson sadly left
us in 2001. along with his Big Country work, he leaves a fine legacy
of musical gems..........:O)

Parrot fashion
My Amazon parrot adores these bars, they’re actually the staple part of his diet apart from his craving for naughty things humans eat. These bars are great, they don’t always last very long but that’s my parrots fault as he spends so much time eating them. Good value if you shop around for them. Occasionally you’ll get one with a dodgy green stalk which doesn’t run directly through the middle but is off centre. They can be a nuisance as the parrot can accidentally eat down the shallow side and then the whole thing drops off the hanging stalk. But if you keep an eye on it, you can turn it round a few times to try to ensure an even destruction of the bar by the parrot, without it dropping off. Most of the green hanging stalks are fairly well centred though, and I’d imagine it’s not an exact repeatable process, nor an easy one, to make these bars.
These Johnson’s parrot bars are awesome overall. Thanks.
