opening of socket is 26mm so nut to be undone needs to be smaller

It states that it covers a wide range of sizes up to 26mm the opening is 26mm which means for it to tighten the wheel nut needs to be smaller other wise it can not get a grip as it try 's to spins on ,for my wheel nut it will not work! how ever it may well work for smaller sizes ,they do seem to be made well good heavy metal.
