Great Boar Brush
This brush had excellent tip softness right out of the box, I can just imagine what it'll be like in a year or so. As is common for boars, it's got a lot of backbone. So it's stiffer and scrubbier than a typical badger brush, but without the annoying scritchiness that a badger in this price range would have.
The knot measured 27mm and was very dense. The closest thing to a complaint that I can come up with is that, not yet broken in, it takes a lot of loading. But i's improving with each shave. Highly recommended.

A bargain
Short, heavy & well knurled. Provides good balance to some heavy-headed razors.
Weber says it's a blem. Looks good to me.

Good brush for the money.
1 of 1 found this helpful Recommended. This brush is much softer and less scratchy than the "starter" badger I had before, even though it's not broken in yet. If you're not ready to drop big bucks on a brush, then stay away from badgers. Stick with Boars or synthetics instead. Semogue is one of the better boar brush manufacturers, and the 830 is roughly mid-level in their line. The only negative I can come up with is that the handle is too wide to fit most shaving stands. So slide it in at the base of the knot instead.
