Iron railings for all seasons.
Fine detail and enough parts to make this model adaptable makes this a great little set. As usual with rail models the plastic is pre-coloured which is handy as the iron railings are so fine that paint might clog in them. I also found the rails cut easily to fit into tight spaces and can have the ornate curved top removed to create a lower more simple fencing. All in all well made and suits endless uses.

Atmosphere, insight and a challenge.
This is one of my favourite films. If you like your Horror in the form of comfortably packaged Jump-fest, "five teenagers go a deserted..." pick 'em off, torture goregasm, this isn't for you. It is a slow, quiet exploration of real topics in the world of dark powers, particularly Necromancy. Somebody knows thier stuff. It is saturated in atmosphere with a soundscape to match. This one works, and will endure.

Northmen Cavalry. A welcome set of light horse.
Northmen Cavalry make a useful addition to a collection or army, everyone needs some light cavalry. The models are clearly based on the real medieval Reivers of the Anglo-Scottish borders and are not too bad a representation of them. They would also work well as Hobilars and possibly Anglo-Irish horsemen.The sculpting is excellent, the casting is crisp and there is enough scope for variation to give a lot of mileage from one set. I may well be buying more some time soon.
