A wonderful piece of history that's in great condition
The x301 came out in 2009. For a notebook that's 12 years old it has a lot of the design DNA we see in modern notebooks. I know the X300 and X301 are what eventually ended up being the X1 Carbon line.
I bought this notebook as a piece of history. One of the machines that lead to modern thin and lights.
I bought this one specifically because it seemed to be in great cosmetic and working condition. In this I was not wrong, nor disappointed. It shows signs of use, as any computer over a decade old will. For a notebook aimed squarely at people that travel and need a powerful laptop that's as light and portable as possible, this one has had a pretty easy life.
I would not recommend the x301, or anything older than a T430, for anyone but thinkpad enthusiasts and hardware collectors.
