Nagaoka MP-200 Review
2 of 2 found this helpful Nagaoka MP-200, Awesome Sounding! Sounds better than an Audio Technica VM540ML, and a Grado Gold3! Nagaoka MP-200 has an excellent 3D sound stage. Has the perfect blend of deep solid bass with an airy high frequency extension that's not bright sounding. No distortion across the record, from beginning to end! Very thin Boron cantilever. Elliptical stylus sounds more like a Mircoline, Line Contact etc.. Violins sound light and airy sounding, beautiful! Vocals are intimate sounding, up close. MP-200 plays every music genres with ease! Tracking my MP-200 at 1.8 grams with a hair over 1 gram anti-skating. Tonearm is parallel (VTA) with the record surface. MP-200 sounds like a MC cartridge. Sounds more like a Denon DL-301 MKII. Highly recommend the Nagaoka MP-200! I give it 5 Star rating! *****

Sovtek 12AX7LPS are excellent tubes!
1 of 1 found this helpful My Yaqin MS-23B phono preamp sounds WAY better with these Sovtek 12AX7LPS tubes than the stock Chinese 12AX7B tubes! The mid range just comes to life. The high frequencies are more detailed, still nice and smooth sounding. Bass has more authority. Very nice 3D sound stage! Higher gain, don't have to turn the volume as high. Highly recommend the Sovtek 12AX7-LPS tubes for a phono preamp!
Viva Tubes puts stickers with the test readings on each of the tubes on the box, so you know your getting a nice matched pair! Excellent service!

Great that it's released on VINYL!
Swing Out Sister does it again with "Almost Persuaded", with that Jazz/Soul/Pop smooth sound we all love, that makes this group's albums unique! Album has plenty of deep bass. The vinyl copy, sound quality is very good!
