Army of Two Was not for me......
Well my friend and i decided it might be pretty cool for us to both get army of two because when we played the demo together it made it out to be a pretty strategic game, wrong.... In fact the game play was so repetitive and straight forward it was ridiculous. the only way you can change it up is to get a different weapon when the "mid mission shop" thing comes about. most the time theres a ridiculous amount of enemies coming at you and it takes two years to get anyplace (mind you they are all mostly the same level of difficult) and speaking of difficulty; first we played the game on the lowest. which proved sorta hard. then after we beat that , we played it on hardest...........nothing changed...... it was nearly the same level of difficult as easy was. but i digress, we did seem to get knocked down a little bit quicker.
Ok now for things i liked about the game. Weapons! there are some nice weapons and some nice things you can do to your weapon. its nice because they give you the opportunity to upgrade everything on your gun. including your stock, barrel, appearance, cartridge, and you can put things on it like a grenade launcher and stuff. i liked the game play really , it was just really repetitive. they have a mode called OVERKILL mode, its pretty sweet see once your partner gets all the agro and holds it for a certain amount of time . then over kill mode comes up and makes you pretty much invisible plus it slows down time kinda thing so you can run around and just destroy the nearby enemies in around 12 seconds they give you, very helpfull.
one thing that gets annoying, is the cut screens, there is one every time you have to open a door, which gets annoying, just open the door you dont need a cut screen! and one other thing, in the very end, YOU dont even get to fire the last bullet and the MAIN BOSS!!!!!!!! guess what?!?! its a CUT SCREEN! go figure... that ruined the entire game for us, you cant even kill the boss yourself, its a stupid movie. they lead you on to believe there will be a second one. what are they going to call it. Army of Two 2?
So in conclusion i guess i give it a 3 out of 5 . graphics are very nice. but the game just didn't meet up to my expectations. if you want a nice coop game, get Gears of War. or Halo 3.
