Previous experiences with Defender series
Have had at least three defender cases. Had a few drops with no consequences. I phones without cases are very light, slippery and thus prone to drops. With models now using glass back and front and lightweight frames, the potential for drops is great.

Lives up to it's billine.
It is a product that lives up to it's advertised benefits. Had a "Defender" case for my previous i phone 6s. Dropped it twice from a height of some 5 to 6 feet onto a ceramic tiled floor. Shatter resistant - yes - no damage to phone. Shock resistant - yes - phone continued to work perfectly. Those two previous incidents told me: This case saved your phone and is well worth the price.
