Looks smart, runs well, good price
1 of 1 found this helpful This was a bargain really. Lucky to have got such a good price. Yes, SSD is on the small size, but easy to connect external USB storage or use cloud storage like OneDrive, MegaSync or pCloud.
Fairly snappy for everyday computing needs. Probably wouldn't be powerful enough for serious video editing, but perfect for most other everyday use cases, such as children's homework, web browsing or graphic design.
Only one gripe really: the Mac Mini doesn't have internal speakers, which caught me by surprise. Easily resolved with a bluetooth speaker though.
Runs silently. Good connectivity. Nice to have a modern computer at last, after making do with various old Linux and Windows machines for many years. This one just works. No faffing about.

The perfect dumb phone for 2021
Who in their right mind would buy a Windows Phone in 2021?
Well… I was looking for a OneDrive-connected camera, to enable the children to easily upload and hand in their handwritten school assignments.
For this extremely niche requirement, this ex-business flagship fits perfectly. I bought two.
The Windows 10 mobile UI is so beautiful; a fresh delight to return to from Android and iOS. And still snappy, despite four-year-old specs.
The lack of third-part apps is a pro for this particular use case. Microsoft Office apps work well. Just a shame there is no Teams, but maybe that is a good thing. Also works well with MS Family parental controls.
In 2021, a Microsoft Lumia is the perfect “dumb phone”. Not as limited as KaiOS—entering text on a number keypad is a stretch too far in this day and age—but just the functionality you need for productivity.
Don't expect updates though. Windows 10 mobile is out of support. But great if you accept these limitations.

Does the job
Not quite as good as the trackpad on my 2013 MacBook Pro, but makes navigating a second-hand iMac a much more satisfying than when using a mouse. I find "clicking" a little unresponsive sometimes, but can't really complain for an eight year-old device costing £35.
