Camera local and remote access
7 of 7 found this helpful This is a great little camera but you must take note of one fault I found, the mobile phone app called IMega Cam only lets you view the camera over your local network eg: in your home. To remote view this camera this app doesn't work so you need two more things to fix this.
1st. install mobile phone app IP Cam Viewer Lite its FREE
2nd. if you don't have a static ip address you need to set up an account with either noip web site or dyns web site.
after you do this log into your camera on your local network eg: open browser and type in cameras local ip address. then enter cameras username and password, select English, Pc View, Settings, Network, Ddns, Then turn main DDNS off, Turn 3th DDNS on and enter here your noip or dyns account details. Now enter these details into your app on your phone and all should work remotely. Note you will have to portforward your router to view the camera remotely to I wish someone had wrote these instructions out for me or better still included them in the camera manual.

cctv tester one unit does all
3 of 3 found this helpful This tester is brilliant, one unit capable of displaying all the camera formats IP, Analogue, TVI, AHD, SDI, TVI. I required a new tester and have seen lots of these IPC testers that only perform two or three format types costing up to £400, but this ones does them all for much less, The tester is based on an android tablet idea and you can add more apps of your own provided you contact the seller and advise them of the APK file you want to install and they will e-mail you the software to let you do that, I don't use Hickvision cameras but the supplier I use had an android cctv tablet app that I was able to load onto my testers sd card and it worked. Picture quality is superb, and the supplied shoulder strap means you'll not drop it up a ladder. Hope this review helps some else who is out there trying to decide which tester to choose.
