Enchanting movie. Poignant taste of chivalry.
2 of 2 found this helpful Once you get over the very weak plot device that allows time travel for our characters, the love story and drama left over are wonderful. Hugh Jackman is completely a different man in this than you would ever imagine possible, and it's a wonderful performance! The romance is real, but tender and reminds us all of both the people we would like to be and be with in an ideal world. Very funny, and very touching throughout. Perfectly appropriate for family viewing, but a wonderful childlike diversion for adults into the innocence we all wish we still had. Not a fairy tale by any means, but a dream come true. Overall this is a compassionate movie that reminds us all of the good in ourselves and others and reminds us to believe in the impossible... that sometimes the "too good to be true" is actually ours to behold.
