One of the best books on self defense!
1 of 1 found this helpful The sas self defense handbook is one of the best books I ever read about self defense. The first half of the book covers the psychological aspect in self defense. How to prevent getting into a situation and how to react when and if it would happen. Something that is rare to find in other books on the same subject. Most experts only deals with the physical aspect. The second half of the book is filed with self defense techniques explained in a easy to grasp step by step pictures and text. Most of the techniques seems effective but a few of them seems questionable, like the defense against the front choke. I have seen much better ideas on how to defend against such a threat. I also don't recall the book talking about the great importance of having your hands up when being confronted by someone who acts aggressively. I can tell you from real life experience that if you don't keep your hands up in a "hidden" defensive stance (having your hand up by your chin like you were thinking for example) its very difficult to get your hands up in time to avoid an attack. I was slightly disappointed that an self defense expert from the SAS (the British special air forces) didn't know this. But still, this is a great book to have and a great base in your self defense skills. Highly recommend it!!

Among the best you can buy!
The survival matches from BCB are Nato approved and used by the military, such as the british SAS and the american air force among others. So you really feel that you can trust this item. The matches are both windproof and waterproof. The only downside is that the striker pads are on the outside of the container. So if that gets wet you wont be able to light the matches and they become useless. But you can fix this easy by just adding a striker pad into the container that you cut from a ordinary matchbox. I higly recomend the survival matches from BCB!
