Glazing crazed
My partner bought me the orange one from here as a little fun extra for Christmas. I opened the box and took it out and said how lovely it was then put it away as I didn't want to drink out of it and I didn't have anywhere suitable to display it at that time. I've taken it out this evening 4 months and a day after receiving it with a view to putting it with some other VW items I already have out. Upon closer inspection I find that the glaze is crazed all over the place, something you would easily miss without looking hard. There are 3 pimples inside the mug and one has the glaze missing. It arrived well packed and in a decent cardboard box. The batch number is on the label on the mug as well as the label on the box and is 5FW. It certainly couldn't be used because it would most likely fall to bits if filled with hot coffee. It's a pretty item for the price but quality is poor. I can imagine these left the manufacturers like this and the vendor didn't check or notice because the cracks in the glaze take some spotting. There's a long crack down the handle too which I can't capture on camera :-(

I've used Badedas for more than 40 years since it was the real thing in the mustard coloured ribbed bottle.
Sarah Lee bought the rights to this product and messed about with the formula and then Unilever got their hands on it and it's even worse.
The UK version is just about acceptable although it's got a horrible harsh chemical smell. It's still a nice shade of green though and nicely perfumed. It also has a tiny hole in the bottle so you can use it very sparingly which works fine.
The German version is awful. The bottle doesn't have a small hole but you need lots anyway to get a lather and any colour or smell. It's a strangely blue/ green colour and light years from the original product. I won't buy anymore and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone :-(

Well made international travel adaptor
I bought this item for a trip to the USA. It's a small neat unit and feels weighty and well made. The basic unit has USA pins that fold flat into the body and you simply pull them out to a right-angle to the device to make it usable in the USA. The device detects the voltage applied and adjusts from 110v to 240v automatically so charging in the USA was just as fast on 110v as on 240v in the UK and the rest of Europe.
For the UK and Europe the device comes with separate plug bases which slide sideways into the USA pins. The UK and Euro plus are very good, the only downside of the device arises because of the strange flat 2 pin plugs used in the USA which means that the unit can 'sag' in the socket if you have 2 or more devices plugged into the USB sockets at the same time. I found it easily slipped down a little with a couple of devices on charge and I had to ensure the device was as firmly pushed against the wall socket as the rather poor USA design allows. This is not a failing on the part of the device, just the whole USA electrical system :-(
I wholeheartedly recommend this item for anyone travelling throughout Europe and the USA.
