Allround comact travel camera excells at low light gig /concert photos
After much research I plumped for the F70EXR as I wanted a camera primarily for taking photos in low light conditions at gigs and concerts. The EXR mode doubles up the pixels and increases the amount of light captured but halves the image resolution. It's compact size and 10 X zoom also help as a gig camera. The F80EXR has more pixels but they are crammed onto the same size sensor so low light performance isn't as good. Battery life is good for well over 300 photos. The LCD screen has a very impressive viewing angle ideal when holding the camera overhead. Metal case gives it a quality feel although as others have mentioned the battery flap is plastic.
