    The positive attributes to Timelash
I've always had a soft spot for Timelash. Whilst it may look like a cheap production on the whole, a number of the performances on display more than make up for it. Colin Baker is great as the Sixth Doctor, Paul Darrow as Tekker hams it up for all it's worth, Robert Ashby as the Borad is very well realised and David Chandler as Herbert is very good. So whilst the story itself (and some of the sets) may let Timelash down, there is some very entertaining acting on display, and for that reason it's well worth a look!

The Tomb of the Cybermen starring the 2nd Doctor.
The Tomb of the Cybermen is one of the all time great Doctor Who stories, and moreover it's one of the strongest Troughton stories. The Second Doctor is on top form throughout, plus Victoria and Jamie make for wonderful companions. The Cybermen themselves are impressive, and the 'stock' incidental music complements the action really well and sets the right mood. This story was one of several to be wiped not long after it's original transmission in 1967. Luckily a print of all 4 episodes were located overseas at a TV station in Hong Kong during 1991, and happily returned to the BBC and it's fans. Even when this story was missing it was still held in high regard by fans who'd seen it at the time of original transmission. If you only choose one story from the Patrick Troughton era choose The Tomb of the Cybermen...because we are lucky to have it!
