Have 0.02mm to 0.04mm run-out not the advertised 0.01mm
The set of 10 i got i measured run-out to be 2 to 4 times what they are advertised as, The listing states accuracy to 0.01mm and 5 of mine are 0.02mm, 4 are 0.03mm. And 1 of them measured 0.04mm.
All measured with a rigid setup on a new milling machine with a precision ground spindle end measuring 0.00mm run-out at the end of the spindle where these tool holders press up against. Measured with a dial test indicator up the inside of the taper of the tool holder in 5 or 6 different spots along the taper.
Also the threads dont go far enough so you cant tighten the collet nut all the way to compress a collet over its full range. For instance a metric 6mm collet will have a clamping range from 6-5mm but because these holders are not threaded far enough you can only compress the collet to 5.6mm max before the nut hit the end of the threads.
And there is no taper on the end of the shank so they dont go all the way into the mill spindle and get stuck.
Not good at all.

Not a genuine Vertex....
Not a genuine Vertex. Its a cheap copy. The genuine Vertex has a different part number for this style edge finder. The spring is rubbish and holds the end off center so i had to pull it apart and modify it to make it work properly. But it dose work ok now i fixed it.

Would not recommend even at this price. Many issues.
Has parallax problems. Also the two cross hair patterns are rotated to the right about 3 degrees which is really annoying. And the LED on the green setting is all blurry and looks like you are seeing double. Red is fine just the green is messed up. Would not recommend even at this price.
