Just what I was looking for.

Good value for the price, but don't expect too much.
This mic was recommended to me by a friend, I already have the Rode equivalent, I compared this mic outdoors in a light wind against the Rode and in-camera mic (Sony FDR-AX53 4K). I did better than the in-camera mic at reducing wind noise, but the Rode still had the edge overall. Away from the wind it was not as good as either the in-camera or Rode mic. To be honest the best way to reduce wind noise is to turn the recording level of the camera down and avoid standing in the wind. This mic is a good low cost alternative for use with a GoPro or lower end mobile phone. It is good value at the price.

It is a good product for the price, I bought it believing it not to be made in China.
It is a good product for the price, I bought it believing it not to be made in China, I was very disapointed to find it was made in China. I wish the country of origin was made clear.
