Seems good although never got to test it... When you drop it on the table it sounds very different to a plastic nut , more like ceramic. Although I have read Tusq XL is still synthetic so is a type of plastic I guess. One problem however and the reason for posting this review - it seems it is too shallow for epiphones. I have several from the pro range dating from 2013 onwards (les pauls and ES) and it is same story on each one. i.e the nut is so low the strings will touch the frets. Graphtec website suggests sanding Tusq xl and mixing with superglue to build it up and then sand? I may try this as I want to buy a new saddle which I think will need a lot of sanding so could create the tusq xl powder I will need. But, I would have thought, as the product description on their website reads, there should be plenty of height to sand to perfection - not the case I my experience.
