Exactly what you need for sheet materials
Fantastic piece of kit, Originally bought a table saw a while ago, but not having a large workshop with tables, cutting up 8x4s or quick angles is a bit of a mission. the track saw even without the clamps (which I've not needed once yet) does an amazing job of ripping and cross cutting.
Once you have done your initial cut to set the rubber rule edge (just set the depth to very small and use an old bit of wood or two to place the track on) you then have a great edge to work from. On MDF sheets (my primary use) you get a super clean edge, on softwood gives a fantastic edge as well (although only tried on two bits of softwood so far).
It boils down to the following:
If your not accurate enough with either a circular saw or hand saw,
Your table saw is too small (or you don't want the hassle of setting up large jigs every time),
You want very quick accurate straight cuts on sheet materials,
Working on site with the wood rather than back at a workshop,
then this is the saw for you. There are other track saws out there, but as i have pretty much only Dewalt kit which i've been highly impressed by, this was a no brainer.
The track carry case is handy but its thin so no protection to the tracks edges/corners.
The T-Stak cases are great, if you have any you'll appreciate the stack-ability with other T-Stak cases - fits the plunge saw perfectly with space for the clamps if you buy them too.
The joining rod to for connecting the two tracks is solid and I've not had any issues with offset lines when the cut requires both tracks connected.
The tracks themselves are solid and well made, you can use either edge, so in the unfortunate situation you damage the rubber on one side you can use the other instead.
The Saw is very good - the blade that comes with it is perfect for sheet materials (not tried any of the alternative blades you can buy) You do need two hands to initially plunge the saw for the start of your cut, after that its one handed, i normally run my other hand on the track in front of it to help slide it along the track smoothly. People have mentioned using some grease on the track to help the saw slide smoother but I've not found any need for this as its perfectly smooth without. Adjustments on depth and mitre are good (although i would say the depth is a mm less than the set amount, so i over set just a little to make sure you make a full clean cut). Mitre cuts are just as clean as the straight cuts and just as accurate.
Cant rate it highly enough - since i bought this, I relegated my table saw to gather dust, has become my go-to weapon of choice for any sheet materials.

Retro Awesome
Great replica and perfect nostalgia gift, bought for a family member who is addicted to scalextric and has a large collection of cars, this added some humour and sentimentality to the collection - it’s also a great model and nicely detailed.
