My Mother's Secret
I read multiple books per week. I'm currently reading a lot of novels from the WWII time period.
The story of this book is very good. It is also well written. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 4 or 5, is that the story could be SO MUCH MORE detailed.
The author could have given so much more about each family involved, more specifically how the "Mother" changed the lives of all involved & saved them from an unspeakable fate, including her own.

The Nightingale is though provoking!
I've read a number of other books about the people in that lived through WWII and how choices they were forced to make changed their lives. This is one of my FAVORITE books.
It really makes a person think.
I enjoyed this book VERY much and have already passed it on to another reader. Hopefully she will like it as much as I did!
